Our school is situated in Fossa village which is in the suburbs of Killarney. Killarney is world renowned tourist town. It is adjacent to Killarney Golf Course and numerous spectacular walks and cycle ways around the lakes or in Killarney National Park.

Our school has  263 children enrolled. We have ten mainstream classes and two special classes for children with autism. Our enrolled children range from 4 years to 13 years.The children are generally very interested in Education and have a love of learning.   We are fortunate to have very modern facilities in our school. We place a huge emphasis on sport. The school has access to a 40 metre by 60 metre all weather pitch. Games like Gaelic Football, Hurling, soccer, hockey, athletics  and spike ball are played on this pitch. We also have  a basketball court and a fully equipped modern playground with  swings slides climbing frames etc.

Our school has won numerous county and national titles in in Spikeball Gaelic Football, basketball and soccer.

The school  also is very interested in promoting drama. All children in the school have performed in school musical’s such as ‘Oliver’, ‘Annie’, and most recently ‘Grease’. All of these shows were performed over two nights and viewed by audiences of 800 people.

All classrooms are equipped with electronic whiteboards, computers and iPads as we are considered a Digital School of Distinction. We also have received two Green Flags in recognition of being an Energy Aware School and for our collective effort in reducing our carbon footprint in the environment.

We also have a rich stock of library books in our school library which is frequented by all of our pupils and monitored and run by our Parents Action Committee.We also have an advanced IT system which can help track all books electronically, review them, give feedback on how frequently they are borrowed and this makes the task of the librarian infinitely easier and more efficient.
